Even though the Giants are not very good, Rafael Devers has been on an absolute tear of late. He has homered in two straight games and has reached 2+ total bases in 8 of his last 9 games. This is very much a fade of Bryce Miller who has been atrocious lately. Red Sox starter Patrick Sandoval hasn't been much better, but at least he's limiting runs and has an offense behind him that I trust far more than the Mariners offense. The criticisms for Sandoval are all valid and he's likely to give up some production in the first five, but he'll outduel Bryce Miller for a first five win.

Analysis

In his last seven starts, Mariners RHP Bryce Miller is 0-5 with a 7.18 ERA. Over the last two weeks, the Seattle bullpen owns a not-so-solid 8.14 ERA. So Boston at home should find opportunities. Meanwhile, the Mariners have dropped five straight, scoring 0-1 runs in three of those games. Left-handed pitching has been a big issue for the Seattle lineup; Red Sox LHP Patrick Sandoval can give up his usual two runs over five-plus frames, then we pray the Boston relievers hold it down against the bottom-scoring lineup of 2026.

Texas has been good to me this week so far, and I see no reason why the Rangers won't complete the home sweep this afternoon -- they have outscored the Athletics 16-6 in the series. Lefty Cody Bradford starts for Texas, and he has a 1.80 ERA in 9.2 home innings. He got a very late start to 2026 off elbow issues. The Athletics are 18-33 vs. southpaws.
