Anthony Johnson Jr. NYG SAF
Bears' Anthony Johnson: Finds work in Chicago
1h agoThe Bears signed Johnson on Wednesday, NFL reporter Jordan Schultz reports.
Johnson was a seventh-round pick by the Packers in the 2023 Draft and has appeared in 21 career regular-season games, logging 29 tackles (20 solo) and four pass breakups, including one interception. He'll compete for a reserve role with Chicago.
-
Salvon Ahmed IND RB
Bears' Salvon Ahmed: Signs with Chicago
1h agoThe Bears signed Ahmed (ankle) on Wednesday, NFL reporter Jordan Schultz reports.
While with the Colts last summer, Ahmed suffered a serious ankle injury during training camp when he was brought down with a hip-drop tackle. He missed the entire 2025 season but is now healthy and ready to compete for a job in the Chicago backfield. The 27-year-old has 593 career rushing yards and five touchdowns on 163 carries across 38 regular-season games. He can also play special teams.

Kirk Cousins LV QB
Raiders' Kirk Cousins: First QB on field at OTAs
7h agoDuring the team period of Wednesday's OTA practice, Cousins was the first quarterback on the field, Ryan McFadden of ESPN reports.
Per the report, Cousins was followed by Aidan O'Connell and then No. 1 overall pick Fernando Mendoza, whom the Raiders continue to ease into their offense. While coach Klint Kubiak has yet to provide a timeline for when he'd like to name a starting QB, McFadden suggests that Cousins is the favorite to open the season as the team's No. 1 option, given his ample NFL experience and familiarity with Kubiak's offense. That said, Mendoza -- who has been "as advertised," per Kubiak -- does have time to change that narrative ahead of Week 1, and even if Cousins does handle signal-caller duties for Las Vegas out of the gate in 2026, there's little doubt that Mendoza will rise to the top of the depth chart eventually, given where he was drafted.
-
Montrell Johnson Jr. CAR RB
Montrell Johnson: Agrees to injury settlement
8h agoJohnson (undisclosed) was waived from Carolina's IR with an injury settlement Wednesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Johnson reverted to IR after going unclaimed on waivers with an injury designation May 19, and it appears the Panthers are moving on from the Florida product. He has yet to appear in an NFL game after tallying 593 rushing yards and six touchdowns on 5.9 yards per carry during his senior campaign in 2024.
-
Brodric Martin LV DT
Brodric Martin: Dropped by Las Vegas
8h agoMartin (undisclosed) was waived from the Raiders' IR with an injury settlement Wednesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
The 2023 third-round pick from Western Kentucky has appeared in just six regular-season games throughout his three years in the NFL, playing for the Lions (five contests) and Steelers (one contest). Following an injury settlement with the Raiders, Martin is free to sign elsewhere once he fully recovers.
-
Broderick Jones PIT OT
Steelers' Broderick Jones: Could take reps at right tackle
8h agoJones is expecting to work on both sides of the offensive line once he recovers from a neck injury, Brendan Howe of SteelersNow reports.
With Pittsburgh selecting offensive tackles in the first round of two of the last three NFL drafts (Troy Fautanu in 2024 and Max Iheanachor in 2026), Jones appears open to working at either tackle spot next season. The 25-year-old from Georgia missed the Steelers' final seven games (including the playoffs) last season due to a neck injury, and it remains unclear if he'll be ready for training camp or Week 1, per Adam Schefter of ESPN. Once fully healthy, Jones will likely battle for one of Pittsburgh's starting tackle positions, though the team declined his fifth-year option in late April.

Raiders' Kirk Cousins: First QB on field at OTAs

Shedeur Sanders CLE QB
Browns' Shedeur Sanders: Splitting first-team reps with Watson
11h agoShedeur and Deshaun Watson split first-team reps for most of Wednesday's practice, but Watson then took all the reps at the end in a simulated hurry-up drill, Daniel Oyefusi of ESPN.com reports.
Reports from Cleveland beat writers are slightly conflicting, but there seems to be agreement that Watson went first through the rotation in early practice periods before Sanders took the first snap in full-team drills. Watson then handled the special period at the end of practice. It sounds like Dillon Gabriel and Taylen Green didn't get much first-team work, if any, but the rotation could look different as soon as the next practice. Head coach Todd Monken has mentioned his preference for naming a starting QB before the start of training camp, though he eased off his prior statements Wednesday, telling reporters, "We'll have it set for [Week 1 at Jacksonville]," per Daniel Oyefusi of ESPN.com.
-
Aaron Rodgers PIT QB
Steelers' Aaron Rodgers: Plans to retire after 2026
11h agoRodgers said Wednesday that 2026 will be his final NFL season, Brooke Pryor of ESPN.com reports.
Rodgers signed with the Steelers on Monday -- the first day of OTAs. He made the decision to play another season in late April or early May, after the NFL Draft, and was then in Pittsburgh for a couple of weeks before officially signing his one-year contract. He'll turn 43 late in the 2026 season, and there'd be no guarantee of a starting job in 2027 even if he wanted one. Rodgers also mentioned that he anticipated retiring once Mike Tomlin was gone, only to reconsider when the Steelers hired Mike McCarthy, who was Rodgers' head coach from 2006 to 2018 in Green Bay. The offense could look much different from last year's, with the Steelers adding WRs Michael Pittman and Germie Bernard to give a better three-wide look.
-
Deshaun Watson CLE QB
Browns' Deshaun Watson: First QB through drills
12h agoWatson was the first QB through the rotation at Wednesday's practice, Chris Easterling of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.
Watson took the first snap in individual drills and 7-on-7s, but Shedeur Sanders then went first in 11-on-11s, per Zac Jackson of The Athletic. The two split first-team snaps for the rest of the session, with Watson then taking over at the end for a hurry-up simulation. For individual drills, Sanders was second through the rotation, with Dillon Gabriel going third and Taylen Green predictably last. It's more or less what was expected, given that Watson has 72 NFL starts to his name and is competing with a trio of mid-round picks from the past two drafts. What's less clear is if the initial position means anything beyond deference to age/experience. Browns head coach Todd Monken seems to take Sanders seriously as a candidate for the starting job, and it wouldn't be surprising to see Gabriel (or even Green) take some first-team reps as well.
-
Josh Allen BUF QB
Bills' Josh Allen: Healthy for OTAs
1d agoCoach Joe Brady said Tuesday that Allen is "good to go" after the quarterback underwent foot surgery in the offseason, Sal Capaccio of WGR Sports Radio 550 Buffalo reports.
Allen reported soreness after Week 16 last season that eventually proved to be a fracture of the fifth metatarsal in his right foot. The procedure was performed after the Bills' divisional-round loss in Denver, and he's on track for an expected recovery time of 8-to-10 weeks. Allen is coming off another fantastic season in which he completed a career-best 69.3 percent of his passes for 3,668 yards, 25 touchdowns and 10 interceptions while rushing 112 times for 579 yards and 14 more TDs in 17 regular-season games. Now that his health isn't a concern, he can begin building chemistry with the Bills' most notable offseason addition, wideout DJ Moore.
-
Michael Penix Jr. ATL QB
Falcons' Michael Penix: Taking part in 7-on-7s
2d agoPenix (knee) will participate in 7-on-7s and individual drills Tuesday, Marc Raimondi of ESPN.com reports.
Practices in May are no-contact, and mostly at less than full speed. It's nonetheless a good sign for Penix to be on the field in any fashion less than six months removed from surgery to repair the third ACL tear of his football career. Falcons coach Kevin Stefanski hinted at a return to full-team drills in the not-so-distant future, but that doesn't necessarily mean Penix will be cleared for contact during training camp in late July. Stefanski also mentioned that the team will be "very intentional" about splitting reps between Penix and Tua Tagovailoa, per Tori McElhaney of the team's official site. The Falcons have made it clear they signed Tagovailoa to compete for the starting job, even if Penix clears all medical hurdles long before Week 1.

While with the Colts last summer, Ahmed suffered a serious ankle injury during training camp when he was brought down with a hip-drop tackle. He missed the entire 2025 season but is now healthy and ready to compete for a job in the Chicago backfield. Demetric Felton WAS RB
Demetric Felton: Hangs up cleats
9h agoFelton announced his retirement from the NFL on Tuesday and will transition into a player-development role with the Browns, Camryn Justice of News 5 Cleveland reports.
Felton, who had not played in an NFL game since 2022, has now decided to call it a playing career. He appeared in 24 regular-season games for the Browns from 2021 to 2022, catching 20 of his 25 targets for 189 yards and a touchdown while rushing eight times for 20 yards. Additionally, Felton accumulated 269 punt-return yards and 183 kick-return yards.
-
Quinshon Judkins CLE RB
Browns' Quinshon Judkins: Taking 11-on-11 reps
12h agoJudkins (ankle) is taking carries in 11-on-11s, Chris Easterling of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.
Five months removed from surgery on a broken leg and a dislocated ankle, Judkins is already sprinting and making cuts during team drills at OTAs. While this rapid progress doesn't automatically mean he'll be a full participant when contact work begins in late July, it proves he is ahead of schedule in his rehab and on track for a Week 1 start. The Browns have shaky depth behind him in the backfield, rostering 2025 fourth-round pick Dylan Sampson and a quartet of undrafted young players.
-
Cam Skattebo NYG RB
Giants' Cam Skattebo: Says he'll be ready for Week 1
1d agoSkattebo (ankle) said at the Giants Town Hall on Monday night that he is expecting to be ready to play in Week 1 of the upcoming campaign, Kevin Patra of the team's official site reports.
Skattebo's comments Monday echo what Giants GM Joe Schoen relayed in late March, when he shared that the running back was declaring himself "ready to go." Skattebo did add Monday that he's not yet ready to take the field for OTAs, but that doesn't appear to be causing him any concern about his readiness for Week 1. New York hasn't added to its RB room during the offseason outside of signing undrafted rookie Damon Bankston, but it did sign All-Pro fullback Patrick Ricard, so Skattebo could be set up for a big sophomore campaign.
-
Montrell Johnson Jr. CAR RB
Panthers' Montrell Johnson: Reverts to IR
1d agoJohnson (undisclosed) reverted to Carolina's injured reserve Tuesday, Mike Kaye of The Charlotte Observer reports.
Johnson will remain with the Panthers after going unclaimed on waivers. The 23-year-old signed a reserve/future contract with the team in January and will now be forced to miss the entirety of the upcoming campaign unless he's waived with an injury settlement.
-
D'Wayne Eskridge MIA WR
Dee Eskridge: Past toe injury
9h agoEskridge (toe) worked out with the Texans on Wednesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
The 29-year-old wideout from Western Michigan missed the Dolphins' final two regular-season games last season due to a toe injury. However, his workout with the Texans on Wednesday suggests he's moved past the issue. Eskridge had the most productive season of his career in 2025, accumulating 726 kick-return yards across just 13 contests. If signed by Houston, he could compete for a similar special-teams role.
-
Cedrick Wilson Jr. MIA WR
Lions' Cedrick Wilson: Headed to Detroit
9h agoWilson signed with the Lions on Wednesday.
The 2018 sixth-round pick from Boise State spent his 2025 campaign with the Dolphins, but he's found a new home in Detroit. Across 10 appearance last season, Wilson played 207 offensive snaps and caught five of nine targets for 44 yards. He's expected to compete for a reserve role in the Lions' receiver corps as the offseason progresses.
-
Michael Wilson ARI WR
Cardinals' Michael Wilson: In line for extension?
11h agoWilson is a candidate for a contract extension as he enters the final year of his rookie deal, Darren Urban of azcardinals.com reports.
Coming off a 1,000-yard breakout last season, Wilson told reporters Wednesday that his contract situation won't dictate his offseason. He's been participating in voluntary practices, catching passes from Gardner Minshew, Carson Beck and Kedon Slovis while Jacoby Brissett remains away from the team due to his own contract situation. Anyone invested in Wilson's success is rooting for Brissett to make as many starts as possible, though the fantasy results presumably will be less impressive now that the Cardinals have a new coaching staff and a new backfield. Wilson's late-season surge occurred in an offense without WR Marvin Harrison or RB Jeremiyah Love, and with Brissett attempting more than 40 passes per game. Wilson handled the volume well, but that doesn't mean he'll see anything similar in a 2026 Arizona offense in which Love and TE Trey McBride look like the safest bets to pile up volume.
-
Kyle Williams NE WR
Patriots' Kyle Williams: Bulked up this offseason
12h agoAs his second season as a pro approaches, Williams noted Tuesday that he's been working to improve his playing strength, Mark Daniels of masslive.com reports.
To that end, Williams -- who caught 10 of 21 targets for 209 yards and three touchdowns in 17 regular-season contests in 2025 -- said Tuesday that his weight has gone up to 193 pounds after playing at "185 soaking wet" as a rookie. As things stand, Williams is slated to compete for snaps in an already crowded New England WR corps that also includes Romeo Doubs, Kayshon Boutte, Mack Hollins and DeMario Douglas, but there's been plenty of speculation that the team could trade for Philadelphia's A.J. Brown on or after June 1. If that happens, Williams -- who the Patriots took in the third round of the 2025 NFL Draft -- may face a challenging path to steady playing time/targets in 2026.
-
Josh Palmer BUF WR
Bills' Joshua Palmer: Does side work during Day 2 of OTAs
1d agoPalmer (ankle) spent most of Tuesday's OTA session working to the side, Alaina Getzenberg of ESPN.com reports.
Palmer missed Buffalo's two postseason games last season after he was placed on IR due to an ankle injury. It appears he's not quite at 100 percent yet given his limitation to mostly side work Tuesday. However, there's no indication at this point that Palmer is at risk of not being ready for Week 1 of the upcoming regular season.
-
Isaiah Wooden CLE WR
Isaiah Wooden: Let go by Cleveland
1d agoThe Browns waived Wooden on Tuesday.
Wooden signed a reserve/future contract with Cleveland in January, but his short tenure with the team has come to an end. The 2024 undrafted free agent will look to catch on with another team.
-
Heinrich Haarberg NEB TE
Panthers' Heinrich Haarberg: Picked up by Carolina
10h agoHaarberg signed with the Panthers on Wednesday, Darin Gantt of the team's official site reports.
Haarberg spent three years at Nebraska before going undrafted this past April. Ahead of the 2025 season, he transitioned from quarterback to tight end. During that season, the 23-year-old appeared in nine games and tallied eight receptions for 52 yards and a touchdown. Now in Carolina, he'll compete for a spot on the active roster as the offseason progresses.
-
Bryce Pierre CAR TE
Panthers' Bryce Pierre: Reverts to IR
1d agoPierre (undisclosed) reverted to Carolina's injured reserve Tuesday, Mike Kaye of The Charlotte Observer reports.
Pierre was let go by the Panthers on Monday but will remain with the team after going unclaimed on waivers. The 25-year-old spent last season on Carolina's practice squad but didn't appear in any games and will now have to miss the entirety of the upcoming campaign unless he's waived with an injury settlement.
-
Caden Prieskorn CLE TE
Caden Prieskorn: Waived by Cleveland
1d agoThe Browns waived Prieskorn on Tuesday.
Prieskorn is headed to waivers despite having just signed a reserve/future contract with Cleveland back in January. The 26-year-old spent last season on the Browns' practice squad but didn't appear in any games.
-
Dalton Kincaid BUF TE
Bills' Dalton Kincaid: Has moved past knee issue
1d agoKincaid (knee) was a participant in the Bills' OTAs on Tuesday, Sal Capaccio of WGR Sports Radio 550 Buffalo reports.
Per Capaccio, Kincaid -- who is bouncing back from a PCL injury -- didn't require an offseason procedure to address the issue, and with regard to his health, the tight end noted Tuesday, "I'd say it's probably the best I've felt in my career at this point in the year...I feel really good." As the coming campaign approaches, Kincaid is set to maintain his key role in a Bills passing offense that has been fortified by the trade acquisition of WR DJ Moore. As long as Kincaid can stay healthy, the 2023 first-rounder should see enough weekly volume to maintain fantasy utility in 2026, on the heels of having recorded a 39-571-5 receiving line in 12 regular-season contests in 2025.
-
Bryce Pierre CAR TE
Bryce Pierre: Waived by Panthers
2d agoThe Panthers waived Pierre (undisclosed) with an injury designation Monday, Mike Kaye of The Charlotte Observer reports.
Pierre signed a reserve/future contract with the Panthers in January after spending the 2025 season on the team's practice squad. With the waived/injured designation, the 25-year-old will revert to Carolina's injured reserve Tuesday.
-
Luke Lachey HOU TE
Luke Lachey: Waived after failed physical
6d agoThe Packers waived Lachey (undisclosed) after a failed physical Thursday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
Lachey spent the 2025 season on the Texans' practice squad. The Texans waived him Monday, and after the Packers claimed him off waivers, he'll go back to the waiver wire due to a failed physical. Lachey (6-foot-6, 247 pounds) never surpassed 28 receptions or 400 receiving yards through his four years at college.
-
Maddux Trujillo BUF K
Maddux Trujillo: Waived by Buffalo
8d agoThe Bills waived Trujillo on Tuesday.
Trujillo's tenure in Buffalo has come to an end after having signed a reserve/future contract with the team in January. The 23-year-old has yet to appear in a regular-season game but will look to catch on with another team and make his debut during the upcoming campaign.
-
Chris Boswell PIT K
Steelers' Chris Boswell: Agrees to four-year extension
10d agoBoswell agreed to terms Monday on a four-year, $28 million contract extension with the Steelers, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Boswell's deal matches the record-setting contract Brandon Aubrey earned with the Cowboys this offseason in terms of its $7 million annual average. That said, Boswell is 35 years old, and his contract could well have a potential 'out' before its conclusion in 2030. Boswell converted 27 of 32 field-goal attempts (84 percent) while suiting up for all 17 regular-season games 2025, in addition to 42 of 43 extra-point tries. He converted more than 90 percent of his field-goal tries in both 2023 and 2024.
-
Trey Smack GB K
Packers' Trey Smack: Fellow kicker being let go
13d agoWith the Packers moving on from Brandon McManus, per Adam Schefter of ESPN, Smack and Lucas Havrisik are the team's current kicking options.
Though Havrisik appeared in three regular-season games with the Packers in 2025, Smack is presumably the favorite to emerge as the team's top kicker after the team invested a sixth-round draft pick in the University of Florida product. While working behind Green Bay's offense, Smack should have have a chance to emerge as a fantasy streaming option as a rookie. McManus and Lucas Havrisik combined to record 123 points in 17 regular-season contests with the Packers last year.
-
Brandon McManus GB K
Brandon McManus: Packers moving on from kicker
13d agoThe Packers are slated to release McManus, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
The move follows the team's selection of Trey Smack in the sixth round of the 2026 NFL Draft, with fellow kicker Lucas Havrisik also currently on Green Bay's roster. During the 2025 regular season, McManus went 24-for-30 on field-goal attempts and 32-for-33 on extra-point tries in 14 games. McManus, who turns 35 in July, thus represents an option for teams looking to bring in veteran kicking competition ahead of training camp.
-
Trey Smack 2005 K
Packers' Trey Smack: Lands in Green Bay
25d agoThe Packers selected Smack in the sixth round of the 2026 NFL Draft, 216th overall.
Smack joins Green Bay via the final pick of the sixth round as the first kicker off the board in the 2026 NFL Draft. As a freshman with Florida in 2022, he operated in a specialist role before taking over as the Gators' starting kicker from 2023-25, a three-year span in which he compiled an 82.8 percent field-goal conversion rate. Smack boasts a big leg, having converted 10 of 13 field-goal attempts from 50-plus yards, and he'll have an opportunity to compete with Brandon McManus and Lucas Havrisik for the Packers' starting kicker gig this offseason.
-
Spencer Shrader IND K
Colts' Spencer Shrader: Kicking again
28d agoGeneral manager Chris Ballard said Monday that Shrader (knee) will kick with the team during training camp in July, JJ Stankevitz of the Colts' official site reports.
Shrader tore the ACL in his plant leg when he was run into on an extra-point attempt in Week 5 of the 2025 season versus the Raiders, but he appears to be progressing well in his recovery. Per Ballard, he recently made a 54-yard field goal during a workout. He performed well as Indianapolis' starting kicker last year before suffering the season-ending injury, making 13 of his 14 field-goal attempts and all 14 of his extra-point tries over five games, but Blake Grupe, who signed a one-year, $1.4 million contract with the Colts in March, will be tough competition for the club's starting kicker job this summer.
-
Anthony Johnson Jr.
-
Brodric Martin LV DT
Brodric Martin: Dropped by Las Vegas
8h agoMartin (undisclosed) was waived from the Raiders' IR with an injury settlement Wednesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
The 2023 third-round pick from Western Kentucky has appeared in just six regular-season games throughout his three years in the NFL, playing for the Lions (five contests) and Steelers (one contest). Following an injury settlement with the Raiders, Martin is free to sign elsewhere once he fully recovers.
-
DeWayne Carter BUF DT
Bills' DeWayne Carter: Returns from Achilles injury
8h agoCarter (Achilles) participated in Buffalo's OTAs on Wednesday, Matt Parrino of Syracuse.com reports.
Carter, who missed all of the Bills' 2025 season due to a torn Achilles, has now returned to the field and moved past his injury. The 2024 third-round pick from Duke appeared in 11 regular-season games during his rookie campaign, recording 14 total tackles and one pass defensed. Carter also bulked up to 330 pounds this offseason and is expected to compete for meaningful reps at nose tackle.
-
Donte Kent PIT CB
Steelers' Donte Kent: Returns to field
9h agoKent (ankle, knee) was spotted participating in Pittsburgh's OTAs on Monday, Alan Saunders of SteelersNow.com reports.
Kent missed the majority of the Steelers' 2025 campaign due to an ankle injury sustained during training camp. Then, just as his 21-day practice window was opened Dec. 3 for a potential return, he sustained an ACL injury that sidelined him for the remainder of his rookie season. However, it now appears he's moved past both issues and will battle for a depth spot in Pittsburgh's cornerback room as the offseason progresses.
-
Mason Graham CLE DT
Browns' Mason Graham: Played through broken rib
9h agoGraham told reporters Wednesday that he played through a broken rib at the end of the 2025 season, Dan Labbe of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
Despite dealing with a broken rib, Graham appeared in all 17 of the Browns' contests during his rookie campaign, recording 49 total tackles, including 0.5 sacks, and four passes defensed. Heading into his second NFL season, the Michigan product is likely to remain an integral part of Cleveland's defensive front.
-
Charvarius Ward IND CB
Colts' Charvarius Ward: Ready to continue NFL career
9h agoWard (concussion) is present for OTAs and has decided to continue his football career after contemplating retirement, ESPN.com's Stephen Holder reports.
Ward's last two seasons were a nightmare even though he largely remained effective when on the field. His daughter passed away in October 2024, during his final season with the 49ers, and Ward then played just seven games in 2025 for the Colts while spending most of the season in concussion protocol. He spoke with reporters Wednesday for the first time since the end of the 2025 campaign, confirming that he's back with the Colts for another season and has high hopes for a secondary that also features CB Sauce Gardner. The Colts recently released long-time slot corner Kenny Moore, as they were unwilling to commit three starter-level contracts to the same position long-term.
